Farm Energy Programme - Finland

A national energy programme for Finnish farms, drawn up by an expert group led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, was launched in January 2010. The programme helps farms to reshape their energy use so as to reduce both costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

Finland Futures Research Centre

Finland Futures Research Centre

Finland Futures Research Centre (FFRC) in a multidisciplinary academic organisation working on research, education and development projects. The centre focuses mainly on themes such as environmental and energy research, innovations, social and cultural research and research on creative industries.

TransEco Development Program

Finland has been a pioneer in making use of bioenergy and developing low-emission traffic fuels. The Ministry of Employment and the Economy is now giving further support to the development of new biofuels through the TransEco program, coordinated by the VTT Technical Research Centre.
