Swedish research programmes

Swedish research on energy is being conducted at several institutes.

 

In Sweden, Formas, the Swedish Research Council for Environment, Agricultural Sciences and Spatial Planning, is a governmental research-funding agency related to  the Ministry of Sustainable Development. Please, find furhter information on Formas' areas of research at www.formas.se.

The Swedish Research Council distributed some SEK 3 billion in research support in 2007 and is the largest
state funder of basic research at Swedish higher education institutions and research institutes. Visit the Research Council at their website www.vr.se


Four Swedish organisations, The Swedish Energy Agency, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, the Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research (Mistra) and the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, together fund climate policy research programmes of around 5 million Euro annually.
