The Centre for Renewable Energy (SFFE)

The Centre for Renewable Energy (SFFE) combines the competence of three major Norwegian institutions within the field of renewable energy and initiate innovative and pertinent research tasks. Research fields include small scale hydropower, wind, solar, wave, and bioenergy as well as the social dimensions of energy use.

 

The institutions involved in SFFE are The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU),  SINTEF and Institute for Energy Technology (IFE).

In association with Norwegian industry, SFFE aims to contribute to strategies and knowledge for the innovation and development of new renewable energy technologies. The principal aim of this cooperation is to improve the environment as well as creating values.
