The centre focuses on social, environmental and economical consequences of bio energy use. In cooperation with other research communities and industry, the center shall develop technology and systems to help Norway become a leading nation in the field of bioenergy production and use. The Centre for Bioenergy Research is owned by the Norwegian University of life Sciences (UMB), the Norwegian Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Research (Bioforsk) and the Norwegian Forest and Landscape Institute.
