High quality fuel from low quality wood

Xynergo will produce sustainable and competitive 2nd generation fuels for transportation and stationary applications utilizing woody biomass to abate our common climate change challenge.

Xyn-fuels are made from a renewable source, have a CO2 reduction potential of 90% compared to fossil fuels and have substantially less local environmental effects. With extra investment the whole process can be carbon-negative, i.e. taking CO2 out of the atmosphere.

The Xynergo Vision

The Xynergo company vision is to provide competitive sustainable fuel in large scale. The core of our activity is to deliver high quality fuel for transportation and stationary applications produced from low quality wood to abate our common climate change challenge.

Sustainability

Xynergo has a particularly strong environmental commitment, as the core of the business strategy is to deliver sustainable fuel to cover the demand to reduce climate gas emissions from transport industry.

With environment at the core, the total business strategy of Xynergo is strongly connected to our environmental work and the management is committed to a strong and comprehensive understanding of environmental issues.

Products

The company aim to build a bio-oil crude, Xyn-oil, plant in Norway that will be in operation by 2011 and to have a full scale synthetic diesel, Xyn-diesel, plant in operation by 2014.

There are significant environmental benefits of Xyn-fuels as they are made from a renewable source, have a CO2 reduction potential of 90% compared to fossil fuels and have substantially less local environmental effects.

Xynergo synthetic diesel is made from non-food feed stocks (woody biomass). Synthetic diesel can substitute or blend with fossil diesel from 0-100 %. There are no additional infrastructure requirements and no adaptation needed to utilize the fuel in existing diesel combustion engines and power-trains.

We are able to fine tune the properties of the final fuel. We can make diesel, gasoline or if one wants even jet-fuel.

Xynergo AS is jointly owned by Norske Skogindustrier AS, Viken Skog BA, Allskog BA, Mjøsen BA and Statskog SF
