High hopes in small scale
The Norwegian Government stimulate the development of small scale windmill projects.
The Norwegian Government wish to see more small scale windmill projects in Norway, and will provide funding to counties who come up with the best plan for such projects. For farmers and landowners producing and selling wind energy could amount to an substantial subsidiary income, especially with the implementation of the Nordic green power certificates.
- With green certificates from 2012 these windmills will become profitable, says Minister of Petroleum and Energy Terje-Riis Johansen.
The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate will work out guidelines, and provide information to help entrepreneurs come up with the best technical solutions.
