Targeted measures and instruments have been introduced in Sweden.
The electricity certificate system is a marked based system to support the expansion of electricity production in Sweden from renewable energy sources and peat. It is a part of the country’s overall objective of moving Sweden towards a more ecologically sustainable energy system.
The report, the Electricity Certificate System 2008,
is intended to make statistics on the electricity certificate system
more easily accessible, and to increase understanding of the system. It
brings together, and comments on, statistics from the Swedish Energy
Agency and from Svenska Kraftnät’s IT-system.
