Converting organic waste into renewable energy

With Watrec Ltd processes and plants renewable energy (biogas) will be produced from organic waste materials and wastewater. In addition, these materials will be treated in cost efficient way.
Products and references
- Watrec Ltd designs turnkey biogas plants. Plant capacity can be 60 000, 120 000 or 240 000 tn/a of treated material. Renewable energy will be produced 1 MWel, 2 MWel, or 4 MWel, respectively.
- In addition, both liquid (nitrogen) and solid (nitrogen/phosphorous) fertilizers will be produced in these biogas plants.
- Watrec Ltd has designed the first centralized co-digestion biogas plant (2003) in Finland, where the capacity of treated organic material is 120 000 tn/a, with 5 MW of total gas power.
- Latest biogas plant process treats organic material (municipal wastewater treatment sludge) 63 000 tn/a, with 4 MW of total gas power. The plant was started on 2009.
