Biofuel for existing motors

The goal of Swedish Biofuels AB is to offer a complete solution for environmentally friendly alternatives to fossil oil for motor fuels.

Swedish Biofuels AB technology provides for a smooth transition from fossil fuels to biofuels with no change in engine design, performance or distribution, and with an improvement rather than a reduction in the quality of the environment. Swedish Biofuels AB fuels are equivalent to existing motor fuels: gasoline, kerosene and diesel. The biological fuels are drop-in fuels. Drop-in fuels are fuels whose specification, characteristics and performance replicate those of petroleum-based fuels.

Technology

The final product of Swedish Biofuels AB production technology is biological drop-in fuel for existing systems. No carbon dioxide or other gases are released during the production process. Instead, the carbon dioxide produced contributes to the yield of final product. Since the raw materials for the fuels are biological the use of these fuels does not add to the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Swedish Biofuels AB technology enables industry to blend biocomponents with oil-derived fuels in any proportion, making the transition to 100 per cent bio-derived fuels smoother.

Raw material

There is a wide choice of biomass for use in the technology developed by Swedish Biofuels AB. The final choice depends on the biomass available locally.
