Wallenstam builds, develops and manages properties for sustainable living and enterprise in the three most expansive regions in Sweden: Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Helsingborg.

The ownership is focused on residential properties and also on commercial properties in Gothenburg. In close cooperation with City Authorities they develop safe places and areas where people want to live, work and visit. Work commenced on 59 energy efficient apartments in Swedish city Stärtered in November 2009. The apartments will be carbon neutral through Wallenstams own wind power, with an estimated energy consumption of 40 kWh per square meter.

Self sufficient

Wallenstam constructs and manages wind power plants. They have seven power plants in Sweden today, and six under construction.  Over the years, Wallestams has come to take the issues of environmental care and personal safety in their areas, very seriously indeed. They also plan to be self-sufficient in renewable electricity by 2012, through operating their own power plants. As a part of this plan they also added hydro power to their portfolio in February 2010.
