Serenergy provide high quality customer solutions with zero-emission fuel cells. Their fuel cell stacks transform hydrogen feedstock and oxygen from the air into electricity - with zero CO2 emissions. The only waste products from the fuel cell reaction are water and heat. Serenergy was founded in 2006 by leading researchers at the Institute of Energy Technology at the University of Aalborg in Denmark.
Serenergy around the world
Two electric cars by Danish company A Future will try to drive around the globe. In case they run out of electricity in a remote spot, a fuel cell developed by Serenregy will kick in and give them an extra boost.
Serenus E-350 fuel cell module is a 1-stack, 45 cell solution with integrated methanol reformer.
- 350W nominal power
- Safe fuel - Premixed methanol/water
- Leading edge HT-PEM fuel cell technology
- Maintenance free - Install and go!
Serenergy in the air
Antares DLR-H2 is the world’s first piloted aircraft capable of taking off using only power from a fuel cell system. On July 8, 2009, the aircraft was successfully flight tested before an audience at the Hamburg airport.
The research aircraft is collaboration between German Aerospace Centre (DLR), Lange aviation, Serenergy (fuel cell stack subsystem) and BASF (electrolytic membrane and catalysts). Four serenus 390 Air C fuel cell stack modules are used as the propulsive energy source supplying the necessary peak power for take-off.
Serenergy in the zoo
An electric and fuel cell multi truck hybrid is in use at Aalborg Zoo, Denmark. The test vehicle is used along the Zoo's existing diesel powered trucks which it will replace.
With the use of two Serenergy Serenus E-350 fuel cell reformer modules with integrated methanol reformer the hybrid vehicle acomplish long range while minimizing battery charging time. The truck is developed in a joint cooperation between Serenergy, GMR Machines, OK a.m.b.a. and the Danish Technologicalal Institute. The project is funded by the danish EUDP (Energytechnological development and demonstrationprogramme) funds.
