Solar Power Made in Sweden
Gällivare PhotoVoltaic was founded in 1992 and was the first and still is one of the largest producers of solar power modules in Scandinavia. In March 2009 GPV acquired Switchpower. Switchpower is the Scandinavian market leader for turn-key building integrated and building applied solar photovoltaic power systems.
The SwedModule product range is produced using only high quality raw materials from leading suppliers. The SwedModule product is ideal for facades, rooftops and large scale solar power systems as well as remote locations without a connection to the grid.
The solar module factory with a capacity of 45MW is located in Swedish Lapland. GPV’s top modern machine park is highly automated and supervised by well trained staff. GPV has the advantage of a flexible production to meet their customer’s needs. Gällivare PhotoVoltaic provides Swedish technology you can trust.
Global warming and increasing energy prices has prompted ideas such as sustainable cities to be realized. Whether considering large scale or have smaller projects solar power modules could be the solution. SwedModule is available in a wide range of products from GPV75Wp to GPV225Wp.
Switchpower was launched in 2004 and has grown into the preferred supplier of the Swedish public building administration sector with references such as the Cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmoe, the Swedish National Property Board (Swedish Embassies, e.g. Athens) and the Swedish Church amongst its client base. In 2007, the company commenced its international expansion with a subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates.
Switchpower’s key competitive advantage is its long-lasting business relation with high-quality manufacturers of system components, which enable highest available quality in the shortest possible time-frame at the competitive pricing levels of maturing European markets, such as Germany and Spain.
