Identifying the most appropriate and latest technology available at all times, NorWind and its partners plan, build and install wind turbine foundations in water depths down to + 60 meters. NorWind is also involved in technology development to make floating wind turbines a reality.

To assure access to the leading, most cost-effective solutions, NorWind maintains alliances with key specialist contractors within offshore wind energy development.

Offshore wind farms, +20 km off shore offer clear advantages over similar projects near shore or on land. Offshore locations are windier. The projects can utilize larger turbines, potential sites are nearly unlimited, and environmental conflicts are typically less common and less serious than on land.

Offshore wind farms require custom-made turbines, foundations, installation methods, and operational procedures.
