The SeaLock™ - Offshore Floating Wind Turbine Docking System

Vest Kran's patented SeaLock™ System enables offshore floating wind turbines to dock and undock to a moored floating deep-water docking station. This "quick connect and disconnect" system reduces offshore wind farm installation costs and enables for onshore service and maintenance programs.

The turbine is completed and made ready for operation onshore, then towed to the docking station, installed and ready for operation within 1-2 days.

  • No special vessels
  • Assembled onshore
  • Short installation and hook-up time
  • Service and repair can be done onshore
  • Possibility of quickly replacing turbines

Benefits:

  • Less "Down Time"
  • More Cost-Effective
  • Safer, Less Weather Dependent
  • Mechanical Solution
