Cable entry solutions
With the Roxtec sealing system for cables and pipes, the wind power industry has a standardised safety solution for maximum operational reliability.
SEALING SYSTEM. Every component of the Roxtec sealing system is developed to ensure long-term operational reliability in onshore and offshore wind farms and to secure a safe connection to the grid.
The solutions protect equipment – and ensure a good return on investments.
A standardised safety solution for cable sealing, fixation and vibration damping is of great value to all players in the business. It simplifies design, logistics, roll-out and maintenance, and gives an opportunity to save time and money all along the chain.
Operational reliability
Every component of the Roxtec sealing system is developed to ensure long-term operational reliability in onshore and offshore wind farms and to secure a safe connection to the grid. The cable and pipe seals are tested and certified to protect investments against water, gas, fire, electro-magnetic disturbance, dust, vibrations, and rodents. Wind turbine manufacturers avoid warranty claims and operators maximise uptime and cost-efficiency.
Flexible solutions
Multidiameter™, the Roxtec technology based on sealing modules with removable layers, makes the system adaptable to the size of the cables used locally. The seals are easy to install, and make it possible to seal several cables of different sizes in the same opening. The large frame opening even allows routing of cables with lugs or connectors. This helps contractors and operators keeping up the roll-out speed. Standardisation reduces stock, lowers handling costs and enables time-savings during commissioning.
Future capacity built-in
When time has come for maintenance, modifications or upgrades, contractors can open up the cable entry, add cables or perform changes, and then re-seal the transit again. This work can be done quickly, without any spare parts, whenever the opportunity occurs.
In the modular-based seal, cables are neatly organised. A small, but proper distance between each cable creates area efficiency, and facilitates inspection and maintenance.
Roxtec transits are used all over the wind farm, for foundations, between fire zones, for shelters, cabinets, converters and generators as well as for sub- and transformer stations.
