Æolus was the ruler of the winds in Greek mythology. Eolus Vind on the other hand Sweden's leading actor in planning, projecting and establishing wind power plants.
Æolus ruled the winds in Greek mythology. Since 1990 Eolus has become one of Sweden's main actors in wind power. That's no myth.
Eolus Vind started business in 1990 by Bengt Simminsköld. Simminsköld has been working on wind power projects since the 70s, and is still the managing director. Since their start Eolus is behind 202 of Sweden's 1200 wind power plants. Eolus has also been active in projects in Finland, Estonia and Poland. During the years Eolus have sold off most of the wind turbines established by the company.
Today Eolus operates as:
- Developer of wind power projects
- Owner of wind turbines
- Consultants in developing wind power projects, operating wind farms, financing and administration.
